This guitar is sold as is and refunds will not be given. Bid with confidence on this fantastic example of turn of the century luthiery. more intact and the original label is still attached to the inside of the guitar. There is a small crack in the top between the soundhole and the en o the fretboard. This guitar could probably use a neck reset or could stand to have the bridge sanded down to lower the action. One is at the waist and the other is near the neck joint.

There are two places where the back is separating from the sides. I am including a Brazilian rosewood replacement bridge with the auction. There are no bridge pins with the guitar.

The bridge is cracked through the bridge pin holes. A previous owner put two small bolts through the wings of the bridge. Up for grabs is a Washburn 1897"New Model" parlor acoustic guitar in fantastic condition for its age. Case: Includes un-original hard shell case. This guitar is a rare find and is made from high quality woods and detailing. This is a great chance to own a vintage USA made Washburn parlor guitar for a great price. Inspection: Professionally inspected and assessed by our master luthier. Slotted peg head features original three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons. Ebony bridge with ivoroid saddle and bound sound hole with multi-colored wood inlays surrounding the binding. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and intricate wood inlays on the top. Body: Double bound body with solid spruce top. This is a great opportunity to own a rare vintage guitar for a great price. This is a project guitar for a skilled luthier as there are major cracks and other structural issues including some loose braces and warped wood throughout the guitar and broken/missing binding. This early Washburn model uses incredible woods with intricate detailing throughout the instrument.
